Board Appreciation

The Lowndes County Board of Education held its monthly meeting at Central Elementary on Thursday, January 9, 2020, at 7:00 p.m.  Prior to the meeting an appreciation dinner was served to the board members and all that were in attendance.  Dr. Tara Green and her staff, and principals' Curtis, Townsend and Stinson, were gracious hosts.

In the absence of President, Mr. Ben Davis, Vice-President, Mr. Steve Foster conducted the board meeting. During the meeting, the board members unanimously approved resolutions for Sheriff John Williams and Lloyd Johnson. Superintendent Jason Burroughs presented each family member with the resolution.  At the conclusion of the meeting, the board members were presented with special gifts of appreciation from the administrative staff of Lowndes County Public Schools.  We appreciate all that they do for the students, teachers, and administrators of the Lowndes County School District.
