From the Principal's Desk

     Welcome to the Jackson-Steele Elementary School website. We hope it will give you a brief glimpse of our school, our staff, our children, and our community. JSE is one of three elementary schools in the Lowndes County Public Schools District. As a school community, we work with the Board of Education, district office administration, staff students and parents to provide the very best education possible, and we are proud of our children's hard work and achievements. This year's theme is "On the Road to Success in 2006." Therefore, we will continue to prepare our students to become life-long learners as they travel the road to success. Mission Statement

The mission statement of Jackson-Steele Elementary is

to assure that students are responsible, self-assured,

productive citizens who possess a desire for learning and

a respect for self and others; provide a wholesome

environment where dedicated staff members utilize a

                                          flexible curriculum relevant to the needs of the students.
