    Pursuant to the Governor’s First Supplemental Order dated March 18, 2020,
    the Lowndes County Board of Education met via Zoom on Friday, July 24, 2020, at 9:00 a.m.

    The Board took the following action: Approved all virtual school for the first 9-weeks of the
    2020-2021 school year.

Science Fair and Spelling Bee

Science Fair

The Lowndes County Public School System will hold its Annual Science Fair competition on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at 9:00 AM in Calhoun High School’s gymnasium. This academic competition is open to all students enrolled in grades 6-12. Students who win at the district level will have an opportunity to compete in the Greater East Alabama Regional Science and Engineering Fair (GEARSEF) to be held at Auburn University on March 4 and 5, 2020. District-level winners must complete all registration requirements and complete entry information by Friday, Science FairFebruary 7, 2020.
