The Office of Federal Programs is comprised of a variety of programs designed to provide the highest quality services, programs, and resources to help all schools more effectively develop, implement, and evaluate continuous improvement plans for the academic success of all children.
Title I, Part A, the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, is the major component within our Federal Programs department. It is a comprehensive reform strategy designed to upgrade the entire educational program in our Title I schools. Since all of the schools in our district are Title I schools; our primary goal is to ensure that all students, particularly those who are low-achieving, demonstrate proficient and advanced levels of achievement on state academic standards. Our mission is to develop an ongoing, comprehensive plan that is owned by the entire school community and tailored to students’ and schools’ individual needs to help all children meet the state’s challenging academic standards.
