    Pursuant to the Governor’s First Supplemental Order dated March 18, 2020,
    the Lowndes County Board of Education met via Zoom on Friday, July 24, 2020, at 9:00 a.m.

    The Board took the following action: Approved all virtual school for the first 9-weeks of the
    2020-2021 school year.

Fatal Vision Day 2020

Fatal Vision

On Friday, March 13, 2020, the Lowndes County Juvenile Court will be hosting Fatal Vision Day 2020 on the campus of Central High School from 9:00 A.M. until 1:30 P.M.  All 9th and 10th grade students registered in the Lowndes County Public School System are encouraged to participate in this one-day extravaganza that will focus on educating students about the dangers of texting while driving as well as underage drinking and substance abuse.  Students will be required to submit a parental consent form in order to participate in this interactive day of fun and learning.  These forms are available in the guidance office and must be turned in by next Wednesday, March 11.  Lunch will be served to students participating in Fatal Decision Day 2020.  Don't miss out on this exciting adventure!
